What does that stand for Absolutely Shit Overpriced Stuff? I kid but really... let me tell you about my experience with ASOS.
With the strong aussie dollar I may have been going a bit hectic with the online shopping (who hasn’t though) and the purchase I was most excited about was from the UK store ASOS. I ordered 3 dresses and a pair of pants, 3 weeks later they have finally arrived… in a plastic bag. Maybe I am just used to shopping at higher end places but I would imagine my purchases would come neatly folded and crease free in a box… not all wrinkled in a plastic bag. Anyway ignoring the dodgy packaging I tore them out of their bags only to find that none of them were really in the fabric I had expected (a note for next time to take more notice of composition). So anyway I ran to the bathroom to try them anyway hoping that they might look better on (yeh right!). Needless to say… bad fit! All of them! One for the dresses was so low cut that I couldn’t wear a bra… I probably would need to watch my underwear too, no bonds high tops in that dress! The two dresses I bought for work were both so tight that I probably wouldn’t even be able to sit down at my desk and the pants… I have no idea who designed those, but clearly it was not someone who had seen a human being before. They fit well across the tummy but the legs were so tight I couldn’t bend and I am not being conceited here but I do not have large thighs… I might even go so far as to say I have pretty good legs. So I guess the positive side of all this is that I have learnt to be more careful when buying online and also to stick to net-a-porter because they are great! Haha
BTW: I am returning them all! And with the refund I plan on buying this gorgeous Fendi cuff off net-a-porter instead.
